Do I need to use VAG-Com to wind the caliper pistons back or do I use the old hand tool to do it? I need to change my rear pads tomorrow. Thanks! cruiser647 Posted September 12, 2015 Author Report Share Posted September 12, 2015 Changed them, but now it's whinging that the pads need replacing! The dash symbol is on, and each time I remove the error, it immediately re-appears. How can I remove that? I have a semi-working version of VAG-Com as I could 'open them for pad changing' and 'closed them after pad changing'. Any ideas? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

cruiser647 Posted May 19, 2016 Author Report Share Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) Just bought some pads and discs for my A8. Whenever I have boufght discs, they have come in 1 box with 2 discs in. Not these buggers! 1 box each. They weigh an absolute tonne! I am sure they are 15"+ across! (will measure) The pads are massive too. I have the twin caliper set-up, so when I opened the boxes....... wow! Huge! Once fitted, I will be stopping on a 6 pence! The old ones are 85% worn. , so next weekend - if the weather is good.....
