Oh well, time to make sure I get myself another V8 and a V12 before 2050.... before we all start talking about capacity stats. so, Mr Garçon, that Bentley Turbo should be looking more....'justifiable' now! garcon magnifique
Hypothetical government bullshit. Besides, we'll all be living in caves by then, trying to see out the nuclear winter.
CarMad
Isn't it that they will all need an element of hybrid by then of sorts to help reduce (yeah I know) emissions. I have to say that walking along a busy road these days is not a pleasant experience. The diesel be that from lorries or cars is not nice to breath in at all. Yeah in the past rich running petrols were the bad thing and all that they chucked out. But surely a push to get cars that don't have DPFs off the road would be a good first step to help everyone. I know some people removed them as well, personally I'd like to see that being a bigger offence than it is, draconian maybe but every little step helps. Lastly I know that emissions testing is going to get more stringent but oh my why is it taking so long, surely this is something that should be pushed in PDQ for the benefit of everyone, who cares what the manufactures think. For far too long they have been pushing the boundaries VW group and more and they need to be held to account.
cruiser647
At the moment, I hate sitting behind a scooter. They stink. So rich! Along with the 2 stroke engines out there. Terrible oily smoke from them. Another thing they could do is stop all vehicle she that give out visually offensive smoke. Like badly tuned cars, badly over tuned cars, cars that obviously need a service. Even maybe forcing bus companies to use alternative fuel vehicles. Oh, and the government had pulled out of electrification of the Midland Mainline. Meaning diesels will be used instead and replacement diesels have been ordered. How is that for a double standards message. Saying that, the diesels give a smoother Andy quieter ride. The Virgin electric trains are noisier than the old diesels they use. Cuprabob
I love the sound and smell of a good old 2 stroke.

I can feel my chest tightening as I breathe it in. I always hit the recirc button when sitting behind one or a poorly tuned car.
