Waylander
Anyone know which companies offer this? quotes for the missus are rather high for first policy in own name. Back in the mists of time when I bought my first car a company offered a discount based on my x years of claim free driving. rang a couple now (esure and I’ve already forgotten the other) and they said no..... E-bmw
Have you tried finding out who her current co. car is insured with as they will have her on record as not claiming?
Waylander
she doesn't have a company car. The current insurer won't insure her as main insured person without yr no claims. they are happy to provide a letter saying she been driving claim free for x years but a bit pointless if no one accepts this anymore everyone I've rung including Hastings (from the 2006 TSN posts!) and coop etc all say nope if from a different company Edited November 13, 2017 by Waylander
E-bmw
Sorry, yes I see what you mean now, I misread & thought it was the end of a co. car & wanting insurance afterwards. Ignore me & my old-timers disease.

E-bmw
I realise they are only covering their own, but you never know it may help.
E-bmw
But then thinking about it that is probably standard really.
Waylander
Yep I googled too and rang all of them and a few more. They all said no, it only applies if you switch from named Driver with them to own car with them. churchill I’ve just seen offer company car honorary so I’ll drop them a line in the morning
