Andy_Bangle
Incredible build from Piper Motorsport who grafted a mid-Eighties Mercedes-Benz 190E on to the chassis and powertrain from a modern C63 AMG sedan. "To make a long story short... the 190E will feature the engine, transmission, entire driveline, suspension, brakes, firewall, dash, electronics and even the floor pan from the C63 AMG," the description for the shop's incredibly-detailed Facebook album reads. And it is indeed a long story, the first picture showing the two donor cars side-by-side was uploaded a full five years ago. https://www.facebook.com/pg/Piper-Motorsport-486605745510/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10153349096740511

cruiser647
Love that! Many times, the newer designs could do with an older body on them, as the older bodies have shape, style and looks about them. The new ones are too.... meh...

I think the Yank custom car builders (Counts Customs, Gas Monkey etc) excel at that stuff when they totally rebuild/replace the chassis along adding new V8 running gear.

In which case, I'd have a '68 Lincoln with Audi style modern inerds please, but a big chuffing Yank V8 to keep the character.
