Snail
Had this mad problem today, was sitting working quite happily, when suddenly the mouse went mad. It just sat moving around the screen and randomly clicking. Spend ages looking into the problem. Tried unplugging the mouse, rebooting, but still constantly there. Then went looking further, tried loading up a different OS, no problem, tried safe mode, again no problem. Tried a virus scan, nothing there. I eventually found the problem, but i'll quiz you IT bods first, anyone any ideas what it was??????

Snail
No-one is even remotely close. The problem was actually something i had connected to a COM port was shorting, and sending too much voltage through the COM port. I have absolutely no idea how it worked in safe mode
