sitas3
Right then, I received the SPS3 dongle today, and I've been having a play with it.. I agree there is a marked difference between the low boost and high boost settings (with the Timing=8) - Speaking with revo today and they confirm that high boost nine boosts to 1.55 bar. DuncS3 and myself have just been out in my car, and one of the trials involved putting the car back into stock mode.. Almost forgotten how much difference there is as I've been in chipped mode for 8 months. We will do some comparisons on our local test track hopefully next week with both cars in 6th gear, accelerating from 2000 revs upwards.
TJC
Hi, Thanks for the info, you obviously like the Revo. Where does the dongle attach / how easy is it to change modes? How does it compare with the MTM? I assume from your comments re:amd the Revo will be better? Sorry for all the questions but I cannot get into the Revo website. tjc Stock S3 but recently been driving the wife's RS2 so feel the need for more speed!!!! Wikkus
[ QUOTE ] Hi, Thanks for the info, you obviously like the Revo. Where does the dongle attach / how easy is it to change modes? [/ QUOTE ] SPS plugs into the ODB2 port but doesn't stay there; you switch the ignition on (but don't start the engine), select a program on the SPS, plug it into the ODB2 port and wait a couple of seconds for a beep. Once it beeps, whip out the SPS and either start and drive or choose another program element and repeat. Dead simple; I love it. [ QUOTE ] How does it compare with the MTM? I assume from your comments re:amd the Revo will be better? [/ QUOTE ] I've no direct experience, however, owners I've spoken with suggest that the MTM program is quite similar to the Revo in Low-Boost=9 mode, i.e. lots of oomph low down then tails off after about 4.5k rpm.
