S858DGD
Finally got round to changing my suspension at the weekend. Bought Eibach Springs and paired them off with Bilstein Shockers, and they have lay in a cupboard for months. So on Saturday morning, I got up early, and with the assistance of my 2 friends, we set about the task of removing the old and replacing with new. The rear struts were a pain in the a*$e, you can only get a 1/4 turn at a time, didn't fancy removing the wheel arch trim or the bumper. When we finally got it finished, (no loss of skin, or sign of blood) and fitted the wheels it seemed to sit quite proud. After pressure washing the Gunk off the underside I took it a long spin ensureing I took in a few M/ways and even more twisty back roads (all within the legal limit I must add). You can feel the difference at once. Not to harsh a ride, but big improvement when cornering. Big thumbs up from me. Also when I got back it seems to have settled. I am hoping it will come down a little more over the next few weeks. Has anyone changed there suspension set up and it took a while for it to settle? cheechy
Looking good. Incidentally is that another set of rims of that car? Oh yes and sorry can't help with your query.
S858DGD
Yes indeed it is, I had the Standard Rims, then changed to RSTT wheels, Sold them and Bought RS6 Replica's. I think they suit the colour better than RSTT's.
cheechy
Have to agree - but then I'm a red biggot when it comes to cars.
slimbloke
[ QUOTE ] Has anyone changed there suspension set up and it took a while for it to settle? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah... I had Bilstein shocks and dampers on my modified puma, and it took a month for it to settle, maybe a week or two more at the back. I know someone who put a huge (and very old) 21" computer monitor in their boot for a couple of weeks to help it along
KMA7
Car's looking good mate. I think I spoke to you over at Star Performance, I had the Black S3 with the 19" RS6's.
S858DGD
Cheers m8. Yes it was me you spoke to that day. Why are you selling yours?
KMA7
Not actively advertising the car ,just testing the water really. Car is going great, really pleased with the chip. If someone makes me the right offer then I'll let it go. Thinking of going down the M3 Route but still undecided. What size r your wheels and where did you pick them up. Drivers done me a deal for £1080 fitted with Hankook K04 tyres, not the best name but road noise is minimal, grip is really good and wear seems to be okay too. S858DGD
I bought the wheel and tyre package separately. Goodyear Eagle F1's tyres were from johnsonsimports at £409 (delivered), and the wheels were purchased from Skidz in Falkirk for £390 fitted/balanced. All in I would say a very good purchase for 18" RS6 Replicas with Goodyear tyres. (£799)
