Waylander
noticed today that the engine noise is more notcable and the pickup is noticably reduced [even in 3rd where usually it flies]. still only done 3k so what is the most likely cause? Waylander
maybe someone in "technical" might be able to offer some input?
Riz
I`m not 100% sure but i must say most car can suffer on very hot days due to the intake temp for the engine. The air flow is usually measured by a MAF - Mass Air Flow meter which is found just before the airbox in the engine bay. The MAF can sometimes become contaminated and will reduce performance including hesistations on the revs but this usual remains not matter what the weather.... Are you still having hesistations? if so it could well be the MAF. If its only on hot days then maybe its worth just getting a Audi dealer to have a look into it and make a record of it. Alot of the R32 owners had hesistations which were "really" bad and very dangerous as they would happen just before 3,000rpms when pulling away at junctions. Enough of us complianed to VW and they ended up making a new ECU Firmware for the car which so far is still working on my car Anyway sorry i could not have been more technical Riz
