Snail
[ QUOTE ] Should be able to use a 250Gb drive as long as you have OS 1.31A8. [/ QUOTE ] Correct, i've seen some stuff on the digital spy forums that say people have seen >200GB drives working correctly. Time to get those screw drivers out

craigyb
I have some 300GB 5400 RPM drives, does that mean I can upgrade from my 120GB if I have the latest firmware? Craig
Snail
The highest i've read about was 250GB, in theory 300 should work!
Viraje
If the 137Gb limit is due to 48-bit logical block addressing not being enabled, and this has been fixed in the latest firmware upgrade, then 300GB drives should be ok. Can't remember what the limits of 48-bit LBA is, but iirc it's up in the terrabytes region, so you should be ok for some time!!
Adam
w this: These include the option of recording an interactive stream within a channel, does this mean I can set it to record a particular football match on that extended highlights feature of the new Sky Sports premiership programme? I am also on my third box now
danksy
Erm, not sure about that, but you know when the olympics was on and you had a choice of sports? It lets you record the choice of sports I think! Adam - What went wrong with t'other boxes? Was it hard disk failure?
Adam
first one was very weird - everything fine but would only save 12 favourite channels (rather than 20) and they wouldn't scroll round at the end 2nd one - they reckon some modem fault - kept getting warning letters saying both my boxes needed to eb connected to same line but they were - apparently the callback won't work in the plus box (other one OK) whcih I guess stops me from ordering movies etc
