New car time.

Hi,

From an Audi TT to a 406 Coupe, you bet!

After doing a cost benefit analysis of the TT I have come to the following conclusions:

Benifits: still a newish car and still looks modern.

Turbo and (semi) quattro handling

Costs: a lot of money a month for so many months to go (along with rising mortgage and no pay rise in sight)

stupid dealers sportifs2.gif

TT reliability (know not all Audis are like this but the TT is not built in Germany is it)

Image probs: Rooney drives one for gods sake!

Leather starting to wear after only 5K miles

Black paintwork (a new scratch every week)

So all in all decided to sell it and go back to Peugeot, used to own a 306 GTi 6 and at the time really liked the look of the 406 Coupe, got a not that quick but still nippy 2.0i SE with all mod cons (sat nav, cruise control, electic leather seats, light sensitve rear mirror, mobile phone prep, the lot). Went for a Diablo Red and while the alloys are only 15s at least they will not get scuffed to feck!

Well pleased with it, but due to not many Pug related forums on the web will still 'lurk' round here for a while.

BTW although there is a bit more plastic in the cabin none of it squeaks or rattles, which is nice. jump.gif

Interesting change!!!

Always loved the 406 coupe when it came out, but it does seem to have dated v quickly, pity, cos it is a very pretty car.

Have to disagree a bit there as looking at an early concept of the 407 coupe they are not gonna change that much, perhaps the front grille is a bit late 90s but everything else is still up to date I reckon. 169144-ok.gif

BTW used to have a 406 coupe brouchure at home but this got mislaid, would love to have another copy of it, perhaps a more recent one of the last models made, anyone know a good place of the internet where I could get one?

Thanks.
