[Audi A3/S3] Variable Valve Timing.

OK, I've asked this before, but here goes again. How can I tell if my A3 has VVT? She'e a 2001 Model, built in 2000, engine code is ARX. I'm curious again, because while looking at the Neuspeed website, they offer a different turbo intake pipe for the VVT and non-VVT engines. And they tell you to look for a solenoid at the Drivers (left) side of the head. I have something like that, it's a black cylinder and it has 2 sets of numbers on it, on top is: C 27 13 007 02, and below that is: 21 600 005 E. At the least, can someone tell me WTK this thing is?
