VAGman1
Hi my girlfriend has just bought a Mk3 Polo (1995) and the rear washer jet doesn't work.... The washer bottle pump works fine and there is no problem at the rear wiper motor either. If you disconnect the rear washer pipe where it connects to the rear wiper motor and suck on the pipe (!!!) and at the same time push the column stick forward to actuate the rear wiper/washer jet a dribble of water comes out. My guess is that somewhere in the line is a hole - hence losing water/pressure. Anyone with similar experience? how easy is it to replace the rear washer pipe? UBM
Had the same problem on my golf and the wifes current golf. Try the following : 1. Trace the washer pipe back from the rear wiper a bit more - you will invariably find a connector or a t-piece whci has come loose - usually somewhere inside the protective plastic panel on the inside of the boot (which you need to carefully remove - and don't loose the clips!) 2. Try opening the boot and squiting to remove any airlocks.
