Dave
Depends on what you have really.. HIV is a blood test but some of the other are more obvious.. like genital warts or crabs PM me for more personal advice
A3Floyd
From what i've heard - luckily i've never had to have a check-up yet! it is a lot more than just a blood test! i wont go into great detail here but they have to stick certain objects into certain places and it can be quite painful. I remember watching a programme last year about teenage STD problems and they went through the whole thing.

Andrew
Something about the same size as a rolling pin. Takes a bit of work but those doctors are masters at it.

Andrew
Oi, I'm the one issuing the witty quips here. I've had the test - it is not that bad at all. Bit uncomfortable perhaps but nothing more than that.
Tomk
do the results take long to come ?
Andrew
Let's not get onto the subject of how long it takes to come. You might have a problem, but it doesn't take an STI test to sort that out.
Tomk
oh please check your spelling ! how long does it take to get the results back - hows that ?
Andrew
Not long, about a week as I recall. You can even get the results over the telephone. The worst bit is sitting in the waiting room. You know why you are there, but others don't. Likewise, every girl that walks in you just think "the dirty little minx". Utterly unfounded on fact but the thoughts are there nonetheless.

[/ QUOTE ] I've been refered to the 'Special' clinic for investigation of a complaint which was totally unrelated to any STD! Yes, you sit there knowing what everyone else is thinking! Oh, and for another investigation I've had a camera pushed up there for a good look around inside the bladder - that was a little uncomfortable, not helped by the fact that they pump fluid up to inflate the bladder. Ritey
I don't know if its coz I is young, but we (my age group and younger) are pressed to "check up" frequently to make it part of the "norm" as there are more "free" couples these days, people don't settle down as much or for as long so checking up frequently is not uncommon for me as it may be for some of you. Yes I've been, after suspected cheating - thankfully either I was lucky and she was more lucky not to have been caught, or nothing did actually happen
