The other thing to do is have a set of ATE Powerdisks (as you like them) slotted for you. A good tuner will do this for you, or engine builder...

Then put in some Pagid race pads (or better yet - rally pads) and you'll be set. This is what I did with my A4Q and it worked a treat. ECLIPSe.gif

I can see why they would be noisy...

My last slotted pair (on my A4Q) were done by a race engine/car builder friend who did them radially from the hub to the outer edge in a straight line at a 15degree angle - every 30 degrees around the disc. A bit like this diagram:

It worked a treat - was no noisier than standard "clean" rotors, but with the race pads - stopped fast enough to break your nose on the steering wheel. 169144-ok.gif
