It's back in once again for the 3 outstanding issues.

1) Creaking from under the gearstick on acceleration.

2) Creaking from the roof, when up.

3) Cracking sound from the front left wheel when the road is wet or you have just washed the car. It soundds like a ball joint poping out. This is a known issue by Audi but only a LHD fix is available. Audi UK want it looked at for their technical department. shocked.gif

All in all I am pretty f*****g far from happy since the steering issues, needing a new rack and pump. I will be selling it after the summer. confused.giffrown.gif

To rub salt in to the wound Audi's special loan car they arranged is an accident damaged A6 1.8T that has also been keyed and is filthy, well done Audi. smashfreakB.gif

You bet I have spoken to Audi Customer Services as the car has been in 5 times since new. I think the car is underengineered and I want to get rid of it. The issue is Audi are aware of some of the issues but have no fixes yet, so this makes angry customers.

I did not realise how much of an issue it causes by the dealers being franchised. Unlike BMW who can tell the dealer to order another car to replace lemons as they own the garagges, Audi are powerless as the sales agreements are with the dealer so their powers are week.

Cheers ARI

Yep still have outstanding issues, not impressed at all to be honest and will definetly be selling it after in August.

It seems looking on various forums that a few people are having teething problems with the cab, mainly squeeks and ratlles from the roof or alarm issues. I trust your is ok apart from the dodgy windew rubber?

So far so good. Only other issue I have is that on poor quality roads there is a slight "creaking" (only way I can describe it) from where the hood meets the windows.

To be honest I don't know whether this is simply to be expected as it is a cabrio and therefore acceptable, or not. It's not loud, and it doesn't do it on smooth roads, but it's there. I did try the silver cabrio that my collegue had just got (see other post) and that was totally silent, but it was only a very short drive and maybe was smoother roads, so I don't know whether to make an issue of it or not really. confused.gif
