Chav
Just kidding btw. Am exceedingly jealous of your more reasonable fuel costs!
danksy
Slight problem though! I have never had more than 44 mpg out of the old girl! Even my missus who drives like Mother Theresa has only ever managed to "see" 560 miles on the DIS. Full tank IIRC is about 56 litres on the quattro, therefore it works out at 45mpg! We should rename it the 45mpg club!!
bearra
[ QUOTE ] We should rename it the 45mpg club!! [/ QUOTE ] Still no can do
danksy
Any other suggestions then? 35mpg club doesn't have the same "ring" to it!
UBM
If we buy a second A4 cab I might be able to join again.... ..by taking the combined mpg
Sparky
Hey, we can't rename the club. Some of us still manage 50mpg+ !

NeilB
I've just got 51mpg out of my tank after only managing mid fourties in the winter months. The previous owner said I can get 60pg out of the tank on my 106, but I'm not that patient.
UBM
PROBABLY GET 25MPG OUT OF THIS TANK...
Sparky
Well in my TDi 130 Bora, I got 69.9 on long trips down the M1. Don't think I'll see that with the A4.
garcon magnifique
My 3.0 petrol lump will do well to ever reach above 30mpg, and is usually low 20s... Have two mates with oil burner company cars though - both the VAG 1.9 TDi (110), one an A4 one a new Octavia. We did a 350 mile round trip in the A4 on half a tank, which must equate to somewhere near 60mpg. Not been in the Octavia, but he reckons he saw 72mpg on one run... So how many of you who used to talk about your quickest commute time now talk about your best commute mpg?
Sparky
Having good MPG doesn't mean it's not a quick drive in. It's all about the right gears and a damn heavy right foot! If I rag it into work for example, the MPG is not impressive, and I really know it. But then it's fun and who really cares I guess!
danksy
I nearly made it!!! 600 mile range on the DIS = 49.2mpg.

Hopsta
Driven the car (A3 1.9TDi 130) sensibly this week, under 80 on a motorway not revving it high etc and still only managed 49.6 ! I reckon i'll have it cracked this week
