Buying an M3

No problems at all.

£170 for Inspection 1 (in my case), anywhere between 40-100% more for Inspection 2 (I'm told though never had one beyond 15,000m).

Servicing intervals anywhere between 12-15k automatically calculated by car.

Tyres, retail, £1000-ish a full set but you can find them at £800-ish without going to the crappy Continentals.

Expect to change tyres every 10,000m approx.

MPG averages 24.9 in my case.

Other bills - well I've never had any.

My Lister XJS used to average about 10/15 mpg. Glad petrol was cheaper then. Lucky if I get 20mpg from the M3, but having said that, its mainly getting driven around town. 316tiES is getting about 45/50mpg and my Espace does about 500 per tank.

My dad had an E-type Series II 4.2 when I was a kid that did about 5mpg, and a Ferrari (cant remember model number) that did about 10. The good old days of cheaper petrol.
