Woppum
Well mate, i hate to be a bitch, espeshally becasue i havent spoken to you in a while but, if the cooper s can do the 60 in under 7 secs, than the r32 can do it in under 5!!!! Only joking. I have been in a Mini recently and the do feel fast. I dont know if they feel that fast becasue they are so small or just becasue they are litle pocket rockets. My mate has a cooper and wants to put on an exhaust system on which will boost the brake by 8bhp. It is made by 'Powerflow, custom exhaust' and he needs some advice. He will be shortly reged on to this site under the name of "Coopie", so everyone be ultra nice and answer all of his questions (that arnt cr*p), becasue he is a bit of a nonce... If you can, try to persuade him to get a remap if possible. I need a bit of competition.
RS4_Barry
Powerflow exhausts are crap. Better getting a proper exhaust that has been tried and tested properly on the car rather than a 20 min botch up job that is horrendously loud and loses you power! mlilley
Gents, i am new to this chat room and cannot believe some of the bull thats been posted on it !! i have recently had my cooper s modified by Hartge and it will easily keep up with the golf R32, in fact i recently read a test where the R32 and Hartge mini were pitched against each other on the track and the R32 was 0.2 seconds quicker around a track. Not much difference really. It then comes down to the driver !
iLeo
Hey Guys! I really like this forum and you all seem like "down-to-earth" people that still have their brains, unlike some people I know. Anyway, I just bought a 2003 MINI Cooper S. I went to California to a car tuning company called SVC. I told them I'd give them 2000 extra bucks if they added enough horsepower to make the S go about 245-260 bhp. They actually did it! They added their Mini Cooper S Kit and then they added and even more upgraded exhaust system and they mest around with the aerokit. They also added 18" Bezel Wheels from Toyo, new Eibach Springs and upgraded anti-sway bars! This whole thing cost about 10,200. I am soo stupid to have paid so much but I felt like, so i did it. SSE Upgraded Mini Cooper S! Now I just have to get out of this typing and RACE IT!
Lagoo
Hi Ileo, Welcome to Ts.net!! Your pride and joy sounds like a right little pocket rocket! Did this comapny do any before and after dyno plots to substantiate their claims?? Got any pics to share with us??
iLeo
Hey, thanks for the welcome! Yeah. They tested the horsepower before and after and it looked like they did what they promised. They also put a cat exhaust system on it. I'll send some picks soon.......
