lmmlmmam
Since my car was serviced 10 days ago the service indicator is just showing --- miles and --- days till it next needs attention. Has the dealer done something wrong? I vaguely remember someone saying the indicator takes a bit of time to sort itself out after a service. Have now done a few hundred miles now so I'm begining to doubt this explanation. The service was a freebie from the dealer (well included as part of the deal when I bought the car) so I'm a bit worried the dealer may have been tight and converted the car onto a fixed servicing schedule. Hey ho having a good relationship with a dealer just can't last forever, ain't natural du yah see!
UBM
It will settle down soon. Mine took weeks after I bought it to display a reading....
Phantom
I think it takes a few days for the indicator to reset itself, depending on the style of driving etc. Mine took about three days to correct itself
lmmlmmam
Thanks DM, I'll give it a while longer. Unfortunately I have a little list of issues to discuss with them concerning the service. I'd just about decided to let it go but then arrived home to find a schmoozy letter asking if all was OK. Paley
Indeed it does. My stealer said it would show blank for a week or so - but then they they managed to do as much damage as they repaired when they serviced my cab last week ... Milo
It's 2 weeks and 380 mile since mine was serviced and it's still blank. From memory it took about 1000 mile when new before it showed any info.
UBM
I'd agree with that, think mine appeared after about 890 miles - can't remember why I remember that though.... I had a free inspection service done on mine, where they kindly greased all the joints, checked the fluid levels etc. Just started it this morning - in case of the usual problems and the red brake warning light is back on - it hasn't moved for a week. Hopwfully, it will go off again...
lmmlmmam
Came up with a reading this evening. One less thing to worry about.
