Milo
I am still getting condensation in both rear light clusters after I have washed the car. I have had the lights out and checked the seals etc and all seems well. Does anyone else get this problem? I know of the occasional front light problem and Audi's advice to leave the main beam on for a couple of minutes but I can't recall reading anything similar about the rear lights. UBM
Sounds like a job for the hair dryer! Ask Lodders....
Milo
Drying it out isn't really a problem. Leaving it in the sun for a couple of hours seems to do the trick. But as I usually wash the car at least twice a week, I can't imagine it's doing the light clusters any good to keep having condensation in them. I might have to buy a new car. homerj
I get condensation in the rear lights after washing and on dewie mornings. Never really bothered me though, dries out pretty quick, or as soon as you drive the car. Had it on my last A4 IIRC, and it did not cause any probs over three years ! Sparky
Don't get any problems with rear light clusters. And I've removed both and reseated in my failed attempts at installing LED lighting.
UBM
Used to happen on my saloon - maybe it's residual soot particles....

UBM
No - it did! I've seen it on the cab once. But like it was mentioned above, it did clear up quickly! I wouldn't worry too much, I was told by Audi Assist that all the lights have a small opening to let out moisture - which surely lets it in too
Milo
Maybe the B7 lights will be watertight.

Milo
Maybe that's what all the masking tape was for in the spy pics of the B7 cab?
mcgough
erm ight i had that problem- and still do sometimes, if you open your boot you will see the seal on the lights (1" x 3" flap)at the top, it some how on my car keeps folding over and when you wash the car the water runs down the back off the lights! dont bother me though- it cant do much damage
Milo
I might be being paranoid about any damage it might cause. My Ford Orion 1.6i Ghia (!) failed it's MOT test for a rusty headlight back in 1993 ( ) and I've had a thing about condensation in light clusters ever since. I think I need therapy

Chav
Usually its the front headlights that get condensation... that's an audi acknowledged "feature".
