Riz
[ QUOTE ] It never used to be like that... I have always managed to get through to them! Wassup? [/ QUOTE ] Its a long story but here goes... Bought it a few days after i moved in... approx 28th Feb. Bought the 4mb interactive package which includes a voice line via bulldog. Paid the £60.00 new line fee and waited.... Got told by bulldog that my exchange wont be upgraded to 4mb until the end of april, so i asked if i could have a 2mb connection for the time being, i was quite willing to pay the full price etc, the sales chap said sure no prob well setup a intermediate 2mb line for the time being. Great i thought. Dont hear anything for weeks, ring them up on my mobile to ask what the delay was and was told that i cant have the 2mb as they have to agree to the contracts! wtf So i prepared myself for no voice line or internet until the end of april! Get a email off bulldog saying my activation date was the 21st and that a BT engineer will visit to test the line etc. The engineer came a few days before the 21st, good job i was at home at the time! Anyway he checked the line and said its all done and now in the hands of bulldog to enable the service. Since the 21st i have no dial tone on my voice line and my adsl line keeps dropping and running at odd speeds instead of the stable 4mb which i thought i would get. Drops line and runs between 1-3mb with the average being 1.2mb I`ve rang and emailed so many times and still nothing has been done.. ** Just rang now, got thru after 20mins of waiting (mobile) the advisor took my number so he could ring me back..... im still waiting** F@ckers! R32North
.... and I was about to post asking what BullDog is like cos I seen an ad in the paper today for the 4mb service for £19.99 (have to take their £10 phone line rental as the same time).... which is a lot better deal than I get with Telewest. But it seems like they aren't that good afterall.
Riz
BT are coming out tomorrow apparently! About time i got a straight answer! Its a exchange fault according to them. Riz fingers crossed!
Chelsea Mick
[ QUOTE ] But it seems like they aren't that good afterall. [/ QUOTE ] They are good indeed... I have had the Bulldog 2mb service for nearly 2 years and have NEVER had any issues at all whatsoever. It's the same as everything. There will always be someone somewhere that has had issues with a certain product, just nature of the beast. I would have no worries recommending anyone to Bulldog
Mac
Same here - no problems at all. Had the 2Mb service for yonks and while it's not always as fast as it should be it's certainly reliable.
Ritey
I wondered why you've been popping on and offline all day for the last few weeks Sorry to hear the problems, have to admit never had such hell with NTL
felixthecat1
Sorry to hear you have problems with Bull*hit broadband. I've had them in the office for some time now and they started off 5hite. The service went off line twice a day like clockwork, once in the morning at about 9.00am and then in the afternoon, about 4.30pm. We could never get a straight answer. They just blamed BT and BT blamed them. I have to admit though things are better now although still not perfect. Good luck to you though.
Riz
Mmmm still nothing! Doesnt look like BT have done anything as im still the same as before! Got a call from Bulldog this morning though which was nice of them! They said it should be up and running today but they will call again tomorrow to verify! wtf Riz
Riz
Still nothing! No offence but its pretty cr@p from Bulldog AND BT!!! What options do i have? Riz
GTiMK5
Riz, think they are taking the piss mate. I would cancel with them and look for another provider. Personally I use BT broadband, they may not be the best and may not be the cheapest but there is nobody else to deal with, if it goes tits up they cant blame another ISP etc and the ISP cant blame BT cos with BT broadband they are the same. I have only had one problem and it was fixed quickly.
Paul
Migrate! tbh i think 4mb is bit OTT for now anyway. If honest my 2MB is too. Its only as quick as the server your pulling data off.

Riz
Bulldog are tried to sort my problems out and managed to actually get some information off BT, apparently there is a line fault in my apartment block and not at the exchange.... so it seems it was "that" useless BT engineer who cant do his job right..... just got feb up of waiting so i headed down the rip the hell out of the BT DP box.... Got my trust RJ45 tool and re-crimped the whole lot.... and guess what..... ive done it! Woooohooooo now i can use my phone and adsl.... Bulldog say they will still get BT out and have said sorry so many times.... basically that £60.00 connection charge was pointless as BT havent done their bit right. Anyway i really do think mine was a isolated incident. Riz Speed Test Results HERE
