Hi

My S8 has a phone kit installed (not sure if it was factory or dealer installed).

The cullman cradle is fitted in the armrest, and takes Nokia handsets.

I have an external phone ariel mounted on the rear n/s wing.

Anyroad, my phone seems incapable of holding a call. I can dial out, but it either drops the call before its answered, or it will drop within seconds of the call connecting. Irrespective of wether the call is to a landline or another mobile.

This seems to happen regardless of the coverage. In recent weeks i've paid close attention to the signal strength indicator on the phone, and at all times when the call has dropped, the signal has been at max strength.

I have also tried different handsets from new to old, but they all behave the same way.

So, i hedging my conclusions that it could be the kit itself that is flaky.

First question: Has anyone else experienced this?

Second question: What can I do. Anyone know any decent independent installers etc that could either fix the kit, or replace it with new working kit.

Any help would be appreciated (as usual).
