MattR32
The major factor of an MR2 (in laws have one) over an MX5 is that an MR2 is RWD - Surely an essential sports car feature?
Thorburn
So is the MX-5......

Thorburn
Yep, front engined, rear wheel drive. The Fiat Barchetta is front wheel drive though, as is the newer style Lotus Elan

ian_m
fair play mate! If its not the right one, the Mazda dealer near to me has loads of MX5's, I could take a look if need be
MOSE
Looks like a nice specimen. Hope it turns out to be what you are expecting. We went to see an 04 325i convertible over the weekend and it was the exact opposite of the advert. Not an approved BMW, but supposed to be a reputable dealer. Ari
[ QUOTE ] You might not think that a car based on a 16-year-old design, with a set of performance statistics any hot hatch worthy of the name would eclipse, should have any business on a page like this. But if ever a car proved that fastest is not always the most fun, the MX-5 is it. After all these years it’s still one of the finest handling roadsters ever built. Chuck in good looks and Japanese engineering and the result is not a just a dream to drive but also almost entirely painless to own and a guarantee of respect from your peers. Others may be quicker or more fashionable but, all round, the MX-5 is still the boss. [/ QUOTE ] The Times Online - best convertibles

NewNiceMrMe
Wayhey!!!!!! Nice move Thorburn!!!!! Cracking little car, looks superb and you'll get more smiles per mile than any other driver on TSN (I might exclude Lagoo and Insurance_jon from that, but apart from their vehicles I still rank the MX-5 as one of the best cars in the world for pure enjoyment). Top choice.
