Catherine
The front and discs were changed on Friday, I have noticed that when moving at very very low speed, without my foot being anywhere on the brakes I am getting a whine from what I assume is the front of the car. It is as though something is stuck on. Anyone else experienced this.
sayerbloke
Find a slight gradient and take off the handbrake, etc. Does the car roll? That`ll give you an indication of how bad [if at all] anything is sticking... Beyond that, don't know of any particular problems. Someone will probably along later who does though! PMHBrown
Don't know about the whine you describe but am interested to know whether the 'groaning' has stopped. I experienced the same noise on braking and took the car back to the dealer (I think it was at about 10k on the odo). They kindly changed the discs and pads after profuse apologies, but to my surprise the noise was exactly the same after replacement - hmmm! Talking to a friend who races an M3 he reckons it's absolutely normal as the discs are cross-drilled and it's this that causes the noise at a certain velocity. Fantastic I thought - free discs/pads at 10k and no need for concern!
Catherine
Yes it has now gone. Ive put on about 400 miles since they were changed and it has now dissapeared.
