Well, I bit the bullet and ordered a fabia vRS today. It's certainly going to be a change from the current weapon of choice but I'm actually quite looking forward to the change.

And the 9.5% discount I got through drivethedeal will go some way, some very small way, towards offsetting the loss made on the barge. shocked.gif

Delivery in 12-14 weeks.

Next stop is Touran soot chucker.

I couldn't agree more, I have no regrets whatsoever. I wanted an RS6 before they went out of production (company rules dictate cars must be new) and I was aware of the depreciation issue. Sure, when I bought it, I intended to hang on to it for a few years but situations change and the car doesn't suit my life right now. Who knows, I might buy it back in 2 or 3 years, but by then I'm sure the new RS6 will be out grin.gif

I've already got a few ideas about mods. The only problem is that an impending house move means that I might have to divert funds in that direction. In fact, that's not quite the only problem - the other one is finding the time to get them done.

Hybrid turbo remap and intercooler turns the car into a 220bhp 320lbft monster and is fairly good value too at around £1500ish

I'm certainly willing to spend that sort of money for that return. You had yours done quite a way from me, I believe. Can you comment on anybody down south e.g. Neil's recommendations?

Does the intercooler really make that much difference. AMD quote +70bhp for turbo, remap and full exhaust and I've always understood that they are 'optimistic' in their quoted power gains. Plus this costs over a grand more.

On the positive side, my insurer says that a 70bhp increase will cost less than £100 extra on my policy 169144-ok.gif
