sayerbloke
Nope, not Lotus, another one. "The Leading Edge Sports Car Company Ltd", to be exact. Another low-volume sports car manufacturer in my own backyard and I was almost entirely unaware of their existance! [and maybe there's a reason for that?] They are advertising anonymously in the job paper today [the fact they post their address gives it away though] for several vacancies. I`ve just done some research into them and their vehicles seem interesting anyway. They use Nissan engines [similar to the ones in the 200sx, but non-turbo], mid-mounted/RWD and seem to follow the Lotus mantra of lightweight is king. Not surprising when many of the guys there seem to be ex-Lotus employees. With a 0-60 in around 4.5 seconds and lots of testing on circuits by the looks of it, they`d probably make a pretty handy trackday car This Link has some more pictures and info. The vacancies are all shop-floor work and call for experience so not suitable for what I`d be looking for, but maybe I`ll write to them as a general enquiry. OK, they`re not Noble, Lotus or TVR, but it could be interesting! Basically, I`m looking for a total change of career and haven't really got a clue what I want to do
Thorburn
Sounds interesting! If I remember correctly the car pictured was originally a Japanese car (and was featured in GT2 I think) but the manufacturers went bust and Leading Edge bought the rights to it. Go for it though! One of my friends doing engineering at uni has been talking to Ariel about the posibility of working for them in a year or so
