Regulator Posted July 18, 2005 Report Share Posted July 18, 2005 I have purchased the new TomTom 5 from ebay and installed my software on my pda (Dell Axim X50V). So far I am happy with the product, however I seem to be facing a problem, when i set the advanced planner from my house( IG2 6XB to the road Church Vale in London (N2), when the route gets near Woodford Avenue traffic lights, the applications closes. Does this happen on anybody else's? Could you please try this and let me know in advance. I believe it may be a problem in the software as the second tomtom 5 i bought also had the same problem. Rustynuts Posted July 18, 2005 Report Share Posted July 18, 2005 TomTom 5 and the Axim X50v don't work well together. The problem lies in a memory leak caused by the VGA screen. The problem is well documented over on www.pocketgps.com. Head over and have a look. There's an iminent patch coming out for TomTom 5 which is hoped will fix the issue.
