I've posted on here before about these guys.

They insure my M3 and I had all sorts of problems getting my Tracker certification to them - took weeks before they'd acknowledge it had one fitted.

Well they're doing their damn best to upset me yet again.

Here's a chain of events:

Friday - rang them regarding a possible vehicle change. Wanted to query any premium change/excess etc. They took all the details and said they'd need to call me back. Fair enough. They rang back at 4.50pm to say they needed more details - unfortunately I'd left the office so this was a voicemail I picked up remotely later.

Saturday - rang to give them the additional details they wanted. Now then, the phone I was using at home has a timer on it. Whilst they answered quickly enough it took a further 4 minutes and 27 seconds for them to put me through to a department that I needed to speak to. Then, that department told me they were the wrong department...back to switchboard. Had to explain this to switchboard...who transferred me again....and this time is took a whopping 11 minutes and 14 seconds for someone to answer!!! When they did....they said the information was now irrelevant because my current insurers didn't want to know and that if I changed to the vehicle in question they'd cancel the policy and restart a new one. Hmm, fair enough. They couldn't quote me at the time though...because now they wanted the additional details and would come back to me! Argh!

Monday - I rang them to say scrap that quote. I held for 12 minutes 46 seconds.

Tuesday (Today) - I rang them this morning to ask about another vehicle, impact on policy etc etc.....only to be told "Can you ring back tomorrow Sir, our systems are down and probably will be all day so we can't give any quotes..."

WTF???? What happened to picking a fecking phone up and ringing my insurers that you're the broker for!!!!

Just don't bother with them. Their customer service is utterly appalling and when I change I will almost certainly be cancelling the policy, taking the due rebate and going elsewhere.

I was insured with them for my first year of motoring as they were almost half the price of anyone else. They seemed reasonably competant though I never had to make a claim or change policy details, etc.

I`m told they`ve gone downhill since then [and your statements seem to confirm that]. If I was to buy something American, I think they`d still work out the cheapest so I`d consider using them then, but otherwise I`d steer well clear these days. Certainly sounds like they`ve messed you around crazy.gif

Looks like a great way to give bad service and to loose good business if you ask me.

I can't stand bad service and incompetence.

I just use Direct line to get sample quotes between different cars and then if I start to get serious look around after then. Have found Tescos to be pretty cheap, but thats for my other halfs motor, as I obviously have a company car for the time being.

I've read in other places too that Adrian Flux have gone down hill quite steeply too. Shame really as they were pretty good a few years ago.

They would email you a quote about a week [or maybe longer] after filling in the details on their website. I think they tend to do specialist vehicles and as such take longer to work things out.

They did once give me a quote on a car that I told them had an engine size that was never fitted in that model though confused.gif

Which will be a pittance in my experience of 3 years ago. I ended up getting less than 50% back from a policy that was cancelled after only 2 months. Overall it actually cost me a fraction more to start a new policy (with Tesco), but I refused to pay the extortionate rate they quoted for my new car. They couldn't get close to Tesco on a Honda Civic Type R, exactly the type of car in which they claim to specialise!

Terrible customer service too. I'll never use them again openfire.gif

it seems like they may have just got too big for their boots.

I filled in an online form to get a quote which asked everything, or so i thought so i was expecting an email or a phonecall back to confirm the amount but lo and behold the email i received just gave me a quote number to ring them and then maybe after a few hours of more questions they may have given me a sum.

In the end i couldnt be a$$ed to call them as all I wanted was an indicative insurance quote to see how much itd be costing me when i get my license back.
