If it's a connection that has to be dialled on the PC, go to Network connections, look at the properties of the connection>Options>Idle time before hanging up and alter that drop-down box there. As long as there is internet connectivity, it will stay connected. Bringing up a command prompt and typing something like "ping www.intel.com -t" will keep it alive. shark_90 Posted July 20, 2005 Report Share Posted July 20, 2005 Tom: Go to Start menu, and click Control Panel. Open up Network Connections. One of the connections in there will be the broadband connection. Right click on it, and go to Properties. In the box that opens, the second tab along is Options, select that. In the middle section of that box, the third drop-down box is "Idle time before hanging up" and it's probably set to 20 minutes. Click the arrow to drop down the box and change it to "Never."
