Is it using a "dial-up" broadband connection, or a router? If it's a connection that has to be dialled on the PC, go to Network connections, look at the properties of the connection>Options>Idle time before hanging up and alter that drop-down box there.

If it's a router there's be a dial-on-demand box that needs UNchecking in the connection setup 169144-ok.gif

I'm sure eventually intel will get pretty bored of you pinging their firewalls..

Perhaps, but one of my very basic internet monitoring servers has been pinging that very same address for about 7 years 24/7 now and it's not been blocked yet!

Tom:

Go to Start menu, and click Control Panel. Open up Network Connections. One of the connections in there will be the broadband connection. Right click on it, and go to Properties. In the box that opens, the second tab along is Options, select that. In the middle section of that box, the third drop-down box is "Idle time before hanging up" and it's probably set to 20 minutes. Click the arrow to drop down the box and change it to "Never."

This should sort it out mate 169144-ok.gif
