neo283
Whoever said bad things come in threes wasn't effing kidding! After my MAF buggered (which still ain't right), and the airbag light came on (still buggered), now the brake lights aren't working! Both sides and the top strip light. I've done all the usual checks (fuses are fine, put in new bulbs) but they still aren't lighting up. I'm guessing it's a relay somewhere as all 3 of the lights don't work. Anybody got any suggestions?
Booster
It is more than likely the switch at the top of the brake pedal. Should be about £8 if I remember rightly
neo283
Hells teeth! Quick response! Cheers booster. If I'm honest, the brake pedal does sound funny (like it's hissing). Had the same problem on my first car (the alighty Metro Rio), which was a straight forward fix. Is the switch available from a standard parts shop? Any hints on fitting & location? Thanks again for the lightning reactions!
Booster
Just happened to see it so I posted my response ! You should be able to get the part from any decent parts supplier (its a standard VAG part). As for the fitting, have a look up the brake pedal and you should see it. If you know anyone with a VAG-COM it will show up an error message.
