Omi Posted August 8, 2005 Report Share Posted August 8, 2005 Older BMWs are very well-engineered to be easy to work on... - You've still got the TIS program which tells you exactly what to do step by step on a screen. I can't imagine they're so much more complex than they were in the 90s. Plus, I could really do with a contact in the back-end of a BMW dealership. And the totty working at BMW is always nice. The amount of money he earns through 'foriegners' is unbelievable. There is absolutely nothing he knows about BMW's, it is a useful skill to have, trust me! Mechanics don't have the god given right to mess about with some ones pride and joy, how would you like it if someone took your Mondeo and thrashed it when you were trusting them to take care of it. [/ QUOTE ] You are right, and it has happened be for and the valeter in question got a boot mark in the side (rear door) of his car I court the him doing a wheel spins and hand brake turns in my old car (rover 1.6 16v si) only asked him to wash the car to get rid of the tyre soap and oil hand marks You can trust a mechanic/Tech but you can not trust a valeter at dealer.
