v15ben
A thread I saw on another forum got me thinking about the best vehicles I have been lucky enough to experience. It can be vehicles you have driven or simply those where you have graced the passenger seat! I will have a go at: 2004 Murcielago 2002 996 Turbo - at close on 180mph 1998 TVR Cerbera 1995 355 Spider 1991 Ginetta G33 and super cool: 1986 Rally Mini 1275!! Not driven anything too exciting yet beyond a new Mini One but I am sure you guys have, so over to you!

NunchukHamster
I was lucky when I grew up, my dad was a very senior manager at the Prudential. He was in charge of the motor insurance (when they still did it for the public) division, as such used to tag along on jollies with him when new cars were released and manufacturers wanted to show off. I was too young to drive, but managed plenty of rides. Including:- Aston Martin Virage Volante (it was a Ford day, but they bought one along to show off!) Lotus Esprit Sport 300 TVR Chimaera I know - spoiled brat and all that!

Torino101
The 2 cars that I will remember till the day I day, (unfortunately being driven by someone else rather than me driving, are an Original GT40 and a Aston Martin Vantage Le Mans 600, both were something else. The acceleration in the big AM makes it hard to breath!

AntW
not been in anything spectacular thanks to an Audi track day best car driven: a racing Audi TT best car passenger: above car driven buy a professional driver most entertaining car: friend of mine had an old VW beetle that had a old porsche engine shoe-horned in the back glemaing chrome and metal, porsche tyres, porsche brakes etc etc. The damn thing was neon lime green. But it went like stink and handled like nothing I have ever experienced, it was like it ran on rails!
Sven
Okay, to keep it somewhat concise I'll refrain to listing some of the cars I've actually owned/driven myself. The two Ferrari's weren't mine, but I've driven them. Most of the rest I've owned at some point. There's a few classics there, as that's a bit of a hobby. Alfa Spider, 2000 GTV Bertone (pre Fiat classic), Audi S8 BMW - most high end pre-Bangle models Chevrolet Z28, Corvette, Silverado Citroën DS Pallas Citroën SM Daimler 350 V8 DeTomaso Longchamp Ferrari 328, 355 Fiat 124 Spider International Scout Jaguar XJ, XJR, XJS, E-Type Jensen Interceptor Lancia Flavia Magirus Deutz Fire Engine '52 MB E, S, SL, SLC Opel Diplomat V8 Peugeot 504 Coupé V6 Porsche 944, 928, 911 Range rover Renault 5 Turbo, Alpina ........... there's plenty more but I'm getting bored now. shao_khan
Citroen Dyane 6 - fabulous car, with a bit of tweaking the 602cc 2 cyl aircooled engine was producing around 56bhp at 4500rpm. Roof off motoring at its best.
Soapsuds
Passenger in Evo 8 FQ-320 (340bhm modified) because of the pain it produces under acceleration!! Starion (mine!) - just because it is so 1980's with on/off power and a true RWD with LSD driving experience! 0-60 in 6.5 seconds annoys some people too! Mazda MX-5 (wifes) - again, just the way it will let you drive it - the essence of fun! Maddest car was an old Toyota Corolla 1.6 GTi Twin Cam, front wheel drive. Stupidly fast but would refuse to put its power down. Very dangerous! Car i miss the most from what i have owned: MKII Golf GTi 8v (e plater) - writen off by an Amtrack van driving into me! Not quite as good as some of you eh!!! Few years to go yet, hopfully!!!
garcon magnifique
By far the most impressive car I've driven (all be it for a hundred yards or so in 1st gear round a car park) is a 550 Maranello. The quickest car I've driven properly is a PPP'd 300bhp Impreza STi, on a testdrive. But I've had alot of fun in various things, including a 205 GTi 1.9, Triumph Spitfire, 24v Senator (I loved that car!), Nissan 200SX... Not travelled in much of note, apart from my mate's 993 (RS spec 3.8, circa 400bhp) - I haven't been in anything else that just feels so obviously quicker than the Impreza. As for those cars I've sat in, it's hard to beat KITT at Universal Studios LA... (although the Arnage T at last year's motorshow was nice). One of those was the first new car I bought - great fun for its time! Best car I've ever sat in? Toss up between a fully restored MB "Gosser" and a Ferrari 355 Spyder. A3Floyd
The list of cars that i've driven is quite big, the most expensive being a Lister Jaguar LeMans but i felt more like a pimp in it than anything else. I think the car i was the most impressed with was a series 1 RS turbo when i was about 15. I loved these cars for so long and one of my dads friends who was a car dealer came by one and took me for a spin, I loved every second of it. The best car i've driven myself was an AC Cobra replica with a race-tuned 450bhp V8 - that was something very special and the attention that i got was out of this world, even some guy in an Audi RS6 gave me a respectful nod. Did i enjoy it? not at all! i couldn't see bugger all with the roof on, i was generally petrified of the car and the clutch weighed 2 tonnes. i had it for 4 days and couldn't wait to give it back and get back into my S3. The most fun car i've ever driven is a ford puma - it had the most sorted suspension of all of the cars i've ever driven

Andrew
I am very jealous of the member who has been in a Le Mans Vantage. My favourite car of all time (the Vantage that is, not too keen on the looks of the Le Mans edition). Best cars I've ever been in are: Porsche Carerra GT (although I didn't go anywhere given I was on a stand at the motor show) Ferarri 355 Ferrari 456 Aston Martin Vantage (pre 1992, not the one discussed earlier) Bentley Turbo RT Bentley Continental Numerous Rolls Royce Corniches Massively kitted out AMG styled Mercedes S500 from the eighties, white and with the full TV, video and cocktail cabinet in the back. My Dad used to work with the Omani Royal family so I have them to thank for the taste of exotica!
