NewNiceMrMe
These are a work of art, and I don't know how they work!!! In a standard car, and on the last M3 I had, your wiper blades attach to a wiper rung yes? A metal holder into which the rubber attaches yes? Not on the 645/630. Instead, the end of the wiper stalk has a small hinge on it with an inch long small metal strip. The wiper rubber attaches to it - no metal rung, nothing! You won't notice this until you left the wipers up to wash the car. When you do this you'll stand rather bemused as the wiper blades will bend into a crescent moon shape as the rubber loses the screen support and just hangs there! How very odd! Yet they work to perfection. The design must be very wind efficient and perhaps the lack of a metal rung means the rubber simply moulds to the screen as it should rather than be forced onto it with more pressure than required? I really don't know - but they're the best wipers I've ever had! NewNiceMrMe
I'd never noticed, but then again I've not owned a 5 series or a VW/Audi either.
