Soulboy
Anyone know of any cures? I have always sporadic problems since my nose got broken as a teenager. But recently it has got worse and more regular. The doctor has just given me some steroid nose spray and some of those nose plasters. If this doesnt work I have to see the ENT bod about getting my nose straightened. Anyone else had any success with anything. cheers ppl
Rustynuts
I usually just give her a nudge with my elbow, and she turns over. That stops it.
felixthecat1
Distance mate, the further away I got from my ex-girlfriend the better it was. Sorry, no ideas from me.

saab
[ QUOTE ] Anyone know of any cures? [/ QUOTE ] My girlfriend is a bit of a snorer so I just kick her and she stops. I'm sure you've already looked at the British Snoring and Sleep Apnoea Association website. They have sort of mouthguard things that I want the g/f to try, and are apparently effective. She said she would start using one when I bought her an engagement ring. What a dilemma.....
FuntimeFrankie
You could try having your nose broken again!
Rachel
Try sleeping on your front, or side. Use a pillow, blanket or (for Soulboy ) girlfriend to keep you propped sidewards.
patently
[ QUOTE ] Try sleeping on your front, or side. [/ QUOTE ] Good advice. Have you actually tried the nose plasters yet? I assume you mean the ones with the plastic struts in them to hold the nose open - these do work well normally but might be less effective in the case of a past injury. Mind you, the other half may be kept awake laughing at the appearance instead of by the snoring. Learning to put them on in the dark is useful. Soulboy
The plasters work a bit.............but I (well Newbird) has noticed a distinct coincidence between the snoring and the consumption of a few beers!! I am now running out of coincidence excuses (colds, hayfever, someones cat, someones dog..hamster...gerbil...parrott, wet weather, dry weather, changing weather, smokey pub, perfume, after shave, central heating, gas fires, electric fires, deoderant, washing powder, furniture polish, pot Pourri, witchcraft, etc etc) which have occured on the same night as the snoring is worse. Any more excuses for newbird would also be useful.
