nemo2182
The other day i stupidly knocked the ECU fuse out (Dont ask!) Anyway, from that day on my 210bhp Audi has been running rough.I asked the tuning company if i had reset the ECU by removing the fuse, but they explained this wasnt possible, as did Audi when i explained the situation to them to. Its as the car is back to running 150bhp, strange thing is its running rich, which would suggest the ECU is still trying to use the remap. So this got me thinking it must be air mixture. I thought it must be the MAF sensor playing up, and several other people have said the same thing. The car has no guts at all above 2,500RPM and it doesnt idle properly, keeps bouncing up and down all over the place. It has also stalled a couple of times when ive been stationary.Audi suggested bringing it in for a Diagnostics test, but thats £75 just to tell me the problem! Ive had a couple of people tell me to reset the Throttle body, but this hasnt solved it. If anyone has the VAG-COM software and lives close to either Reading or Bournemouth, please contact me asap....
Sparky
Call out Audi Assistance. They are so much better than a dealer for working out what is wrong. Just tell them it keeps stalling and they'll send someone out.

I have always thought they wouldn't be much use now mine is remapped but obviously I am wrong! Nemo there are a trio of chaps from the TT forum who offer a service with Vagcom based in Surrey, not sure if they would do other Audis but I would guess so. PM me if you want their details. Sparky
Yes, these guys are good. I've not had a car chipped so not sure personally, but a few friends have theirs chipped and the Audi Assist guy said "no worries, but disable it if we take it in" - so seemed a nice guy!
