alarming Posted October 2, 2005 Report Share Posted October 2, 2005 See below, I believe these instuctions are for a B7 with Halogen Headlights, the numbers refer to pictures but there are to many to post Removing Left headlight: If fitted, detach cover -1- on left of engine compartment. Take connectors -1- and -2- out of holder. Unclip holder for connectors and pull off upwards -arrow-. Right headlight: If fitted, detach cover -1- on right of engine compartment. Screw out bolts -arrows-. Disengage activated charcoal filter solenoid valve -N80 -1- at air duct. Remove air duct -2-. Both sides Detach cover for main beam from headlight housing. Release headlight range control motor: At right headlight by turning anti-clockwise -arrow -; at left headlight by turning clockwise. Note: Headlight range control motor need not be removed. Release the two retainer tabs and pull holder -arrow- out of housing. Pull side light bulb out of holder. Installing Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following: Insert new bulb in holder, taking care not to touch glass bulb with bare hands. Lock headlight range control motorin position.
