saipatel
Hi all, Was wandering if someone could help me out. I want to remove the VW emblem from my front grill (debadge) but want to keep the original honeycomb appearence. I have seen a picture of what I want on the following site http://www.golf5gti.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=104. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. silentandy
It just makes it look like something is missing IMO. Anyway, looks like they've literally cut the badge out of the honeycomb and replaced it with some from another one. Lots of hard work for a questionable look! scotw
Looks like the only way will be some clever work with a "spare" grill to make one up. Not a great look IMHO but good luck to you.
RedRobin
I agree....Lots of very tricky work and risking a cock-up for a very questionable appearance. VeeDub GTI are badges to be proud of in my opinion. Hopefully you won't mind being asked as this is your first post....But please don't use CAPS for the whole of sentences either in Topic subjects or messages. Most of us will have thought you had a rather more serious problem! Many thanks

zoomx3
Quick solution - use black duct tape to cover it...
DanAdams
[ QUOTE ] Quick solution - use black duct tape to cover it... [/ QUOTE ] Or just have it sprayed black - lots of people do that on the mk2vw logo (didnt it even come that ways stock on some of the late 16vs??) ajw
Plus you're going to have to fill/spray the lower lip of the bonnet were the VW emblem was.
