zchybrid
Hi all, pick up my 2000 passat Tdi tomorrow morning, yep i've joined the "soot brigade", free diesel from work meant i had to go for a tdi. Well i bet this has been asked before and i know the front isn't gonna be straight forward but first up is the rear lights...... will the 2001 (facelift) rear lights fit straight into my pre facelift estate?? i guess the front will need bonnet, wings, headlights, grill, bumper and maybe front panel?? Thanks in advance guys....
jojo
I think the facelift rear lenses require a different bulb holder aswell, as the light layout changed aswell.
pugboy
Its surely not worth messing about with the front end. I read somewhere that only the doors and roof were carried over on the facelift.

zchybrid
Yeah, it was just an idea i had, i used to work for a body shop and if it was a case of bolting on front panel, bumper lights, bonnet and wings i would be very tempted as it would only cost me for parts (e-bay) so could have worked out very cheap, and they do look a fair bit more modern...
