nutkins
It the same with any LCD product such as TV's, PC monitors, portable playstations - in that there is an 'acceptable' amount of dead pixels before it's deemed faulty (to my knowledge anyway). Is worth trying to get it replaced though if it's bothering you. The dealer will probably do their 'compare with one of their own cars' trick. If their cars are okay you might be able to get it changed.
ajw
Try rubbing the display were the dead pixel is with your finger. Sometimes this works - truly, I'm an Electronics Tech.
