Regulator
Ok ... The Lupo needs a service and when I was told the prices, I was shocked ... I swear they have sky rocketed since last year. I am going to give it in for a Major service so, all plugs filters etc will get changed. VW Abridge Loughton - £400ish VW Southgate - £300ish VW Romford - £350ish plus my dad was saying extra costs would be added on top. ... So, it was a shock to me when I found out that all dealers charge diff prices. ... So, anyone thinking all VeeDub garages charge the same price ... WRONG! Ok guys, I need some help ... In your experience, where's the best place to get a major service done(I'm not sure if the pollen filter is included, but that will need changing!) It has been booked in with Nationwide Autocentre in Ilford ... Do you guys know of anywhere else where it can be cheaper and in your experience are trustworthy. The only reason I'm not going for a VeeDub service again is because I am hoping to sell the car in abit and so, if its had a major service with new plugs etc, it might b easier to sell. So, if u guys can shed some light on this situation, it would be much appreciated!

Si_GTi
Hi mate, Can't believe your dealers charge so much down in the South my last service, although I had a brake fluid change, was less than £180 for an interval service (replacement of filters and oil mostly). The last major service I had was less than £250, last year, which is still way under the prices you are being quoted. Good living here see The only things I can think of that might reduce your servicing costs are either (a) to take it to a local VAG specialist garage who use VW parts to service their cars, or (b) make the trip to France (Calais for example) and get it serviced at a VW dealership there, for half the cost plus a genuine dealership stamp in the logbook. Auto Express ran a feature on this a few months ago and cut their servicing costs by up to 60% in some cases For VAG specialists, maybe try Yell.com or your local rag?
