R32 Model

I hate to be a spoilsport (actually I love it) but that R32 model actually looks pretty average.

It looks pretty crude with dodgy lights, "shut" lines and interior and the paint job on that black one is dire.

I'm only saying this as an ex model making saddo who has inhaled far too much Humbrol glue and paint.

You should see my dry AND wet brushing though - Fantastic!

Matt

I know what your saying, but with an airbrush, some thinners, some wet and dry, some TLC and some Zymol, it will be sorted.

Might even wire in some 3v LED's for the Xenons and the rear tail lights.

And you think your a 'sad' model maker? My childhood was spent making planes from balsa. Boards, pins, framing and then the tissue and dope.

Ah, I get you now...doh!

It wouldn't be a big problem for me to do that, I can try and get in touch with R32Carsten1979 tonight by mail or maybe tomorrow. Let him know that we are interested in where he got the model from etc etc etc. See what he says. I can get my gf to proof read it and send it off. No probs.

I don't get out of work for another few hours so I might not manage it tonight. SO far we are looking at about 18 models.

I bought a Mk4 Golf GTi model from Morrisons a few days ago. It's not a bad model really, and the best part was it was only £3.99! It's a fair size too, although it only took a few hours before my boy has buckled a wheel and pulled the tyres off frown.gif lol

It looks like its a no go. I have been linked to 2 other forums where someone knows someone who made the model themselves. Nobody in Germany knows a supplier for a 1/18 scale model. If I ever find who made this model, I doubt they would be up for making 20+ models. The quality is ok but not up to the standard of a Burago 1/18 model out a shop for instance.

Sorry for the bad news. I really thought there would be one somewhere. I read the .de forums a bit so I will let you know if there is a break thru.

Well, I think that is the same guy who sold the models in ebay, same link he gave me to take a look at the models, for "200€". My German is very good (since I live here) so I didnt have any problems with that. So if there is still a place to check out and having problems asking, registering etc, be sure to give me a PM. I'm after one too smile.gif
