akira
Had a few times when im getting a brake error on my DIS, dealer kept asking me if it was red and yellow, on telling him it was all red he seemed to suggest it was just low brake fluid. Anyone else had this on an RS6 and if so what was it?
Insurance Jon
had it on my 4 & 6, when you corner or accelerate hard if the level in the resovoir is low it triggers the alert. just top it up and it goes away.
Insurance Jon
ps - the res level drops as your break pads wear, nothing to panic about....just anoying
Chris_B
I once got red warnings after thrashing down a country backroad in the summer; the brakes had got so hot the brake fluid was boiling in the system and kept triggering the low level sensor. I had to drive around at 40 mph and avoid the brakes for a few miles to let them cool down. Been thrashing it much?
akira
Not really been thrashing it much, had the res topped up and all seems good now. Thanks all
BenjaminTDI
How many miles have you done? Could have been the brakepads were very low. Had the same problem on my e320, but ignored it and then had to replace the discs aswell as the pads as the pads had got so low, heated up too much and warped the discs
