Snail
After reading about it in numerous places (for instance auto express) i tried using peanut butter to clean polish off some plastic trim. Feck me, it does a fantastic job, and plastic bits (the plastic bumper of my fathers freelander) come up really well, better than back to black! Honestly, forget £5 cans of spray, get yourself down tesco for some sunpat smooth peanut butter That said, dont do it in view of your neighbours, mine think im barmy anyway, but the looks i was getting yesterday were pure comedy genius! Paul
heard this trick before, but never tried it. Supposed to be great for getting those white polish stains (like Auto Glym super resin Polish gives) on plastics.
MOSE
I suppose this gives us a legitimate reason for licking the car clean. Wonder how many curtains would be twitching if ppl started doing that. My neighbours would probably have me sectioned.

[/ QUOTE ] Being honest, if theres one problem i have with cars i clean, its that i always leave polish on the plastic stuff. PB really does remove it well. [/ QUOTE ] Can you imagine the insurance claim. Dear Sir, On the 15/11/05 i was using Peanut butter to remove polish from the front bumper of my freelander. I woke up the next morning to find the neighbours cat had eaten said bumper.
cleanimage
I tried it... just to prove there are better ways. Peanut butter oil is oily, and slightly solvent. It will remove wax marks, but not as good as most solvents. And it also acts as a dressing, but not as good as other exteror plastic dressings - most of which are cack. I would recommend surgical spirit to remove wax marks.
