John32
So finally some interest in my car, guess I have dropped the price enough now Generally people have asked for the registration to do an HPI check, But now I am being asked for the VIN Number, V5 Registration Serial Number and Issue Date - is there any reason not to give this information out? Booster
No reason not to give it out as long as they don't seem dodgy. They can then verify it with the info on their HPI report
Wallachie
From my experience, give them as much information as you can for the HPI check. I tried to sell my car recently and the HPI report came back as if there was finance owed on my car, but when checked it was the wrong chassis number logged against my registration.
