IanHo
Must be the time of year for it, mine came on yesterday and annoyed the hell out of me for about 200 miles until it finally ran out and I was forced to fill it up. Nice touch though is that when it does come on; it no longer washes the headlights to save the water for the windscreen, very smart. Doesn’t mention that in the manual IIRC. J_C
I remember one journey when I needed to refuel and top up the washer fluid - and then the front brake pad warning started. Three beeps every time I turned the ignition on! "Yes yes I KNOW!"
NewNiceMrMe
Thinking about this I'm not sure what's worse, the shrill and irritating noise of the Audi warning sounds, or the chime on the 6. See, on low fuel or for any other warning the 6 emits a really cute Chime. A sort of relaxed and laid back kind of 'Excuse me, I don't wish to worry you sir, but you're about to run out of fuel in 50 miles'. It should stress it a bit more really, especially as that means in about 2 minutes time. It does the same when you reach the speed limit you've set (which I've set to 99mph) or worse still if you put the windows up and don't quite close them fully...because it Chimes to say 'Sir, do you realise you've not QUITE closed the window fully?'. I just want to say 'Yes I fecking know, now feck off'.

Sparky
In my Bora, I used to get a nice chime sound, similar to the "fasten your seat-belts" on an aircraft. That was for things like speed limit reached, door open, low washer level, but the fuel low warning was a high pitched sound like the Audi DIS. Does the Audi DIS not have the chime sound too? I don't mind the sound - I only just hear it over the music I'm playing, so a soft chime would be lost
lottiefox
Chimes/bongs remind me of my vile 206CC. It used to bong all the fecking time. Bong bong bong then a big message that said "STOP"!!!!! on the dashboard would come up. Imminent engine explosion usually.

NewNiceMrMe
Yes, I bought it - what a total waste of money. Utter garbage from start to finish. I made my thoughts clear on it in the Reviews section. He needs to back to the drawing board on his DVD's IMO.
