alexgraham Posted November 26, 2005 Report Share Posted November 26, 2005 Trying to fit an ipod kit to my GTI, but unfortunately it doesn't fit. I bought a kit made by Blaupunkt thinking it would plug straight into the OEM headunit (as its made by Blaupunkt). Spoke to their technical department and they said it would it wouldn't work even if i did try to change the connector. Anyway, fact is it has to go back and was wondering what other options i have. Would a Dension kit be any better? I've got the RCD500 headunit so the CD changer plug is unused. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Paddy_Driver Posted November 27, 2005 Report Share Posted November 27, 2005 HI GTi83, There have been a few threads re the Ipod prep and the Blaupunkt one was posted as being available, the link for this is below: http://www.blaupunkt.co.uk/7607540500_main.asp Can you see if this is the one that you got and attempted to fit as there were a lot of other members looking to see if this would fit the RCD300 and RCD500 with 6xCD/DVD NAV. There seems to be more info posted to the Blaupunkt site recently re the iPod interface so you are best have a good look through there and see.
