s4_sat
how about a vw polo, vx corsa/astra, seat ibiza/leon, skoda octavia/fabia? all within budget for a 3-4 yr old car.

s4_sat
you could pick up a x-y reg tdi for about that much, might be a bit high on the miles though. watch out for ex-taxis though. toledos are about that much too.
s4_sat
just had a 51 reg leon 1.6 for £3988 in here. had 31k on the clock. v. good condition and in metallic blue. had alloys, air con, cd player and electric windows all round
cruiser647
You should easily get a Leon TDi for that!
neo283
Ford Focus would just about drop into that range. Certainly get a petrol model for that money. Alfa 156/147 drop into tht range too, although the 156 will be beaten with a heavy stick from the depreciation tree come 2-3 years. Would look good to clients though. amoeba
Get a Rover 75 with the V6 engine or the diesel (BMW), if thats what she suggested. Good value for money since their demise, and a very well engineered car.
