Hi

I have an audi A2 2001, I have just replaced the origional chorus cassette player with a new kenwood 4031 headunit. I purchased all adapters required and upon fitting I have found there is only very low sound coming from the rear speakers? to make them the same level as the front I need to fade the unit to -8!!! Obviously I `m missing something here, I thought it maybe because the rears with the new loom are wired into the pre-outs, so I re-wired it into the kenwood origional wiring but this gives me the same result? has anybody any ideas??? I am led to believe my car has the active speaker system, whether this has anything to do with it who knows??? HELP!!!! pengy.gif

If you don't have bose you are running the fronts with the internal amp in the head unit and the rears line level, can you adjust the voltage of the line level as this may be too low?

You need to find out what the original chorus ouputs at and what your new headunit outputs at.

you need to split the front outputs and run the rears off them to get the same level for all speakers. it's the same with most aftermarket head units. mine runs off the front channel so i can run a separate amplified sub off the rear outputs or the sub output. (or both) FIREdevil.gif
