VAG-COM Help required in South Yorkshire

Hi

been having a few problems, for example "RDS-TMC tuner faulty or not found" there may be a problem with the tuner however i am led to believe that you can programme out this function (so i stop getting the error message) using VAG-COM. also on a recent thread i have tried to get advice about having lost my dashboard radio/cd/navigation info, again this may be a job for VAG-COM.

Anyone have this gear and understand it? i would rather give a few quid to a fellow S8 buddies rather than my life savings to the local stealer.

Hi Peter,

I have VAG COM and am from in between doncaster and barnsley. I am no expert so we would need the info off here to proceed. I have read fault codes and done the auto locking on audi's etc.

I have a Passat that i normally use it on. The S8 will be different but i am sure we can sort it with a little info.

This does look like there is definitely a loss of communication between the HU and the TMC/CAN gateway module. Without that communication you definitely won't get radio/CD/navigation info in the instrument cluster.

I don't think you'll be able to fix it with VAG-COM, but you may be able to get some additional diagnostic information - you need to sort out the hardware!
