2nd car - insurance question

Pondering getting a little summer car - topless motoring appeals for a few months and I really can't manage the Boxster (not this year!!) wink.gif

It will be my second car - how does this work with insurance? I believe that your no claims bonus does not work on a second policy? confused.gif Do you have to start again? SAUER0421.GIF I think Admiral are looking at changing some of their policies to accomodate this situation but would that mean you needed to have your primary policy with them too? is it cheaper to go with the insurer that you already use? If you go on line for quotes there isn't anywhere that says you have to say it is a second car? But I wouldn't be ending my policy on the TT with 8 years no claims, so can I still say I have this in relation to another car? confused.gif

Confused. But I've had a very blonde weekend. ROLLEY~14.GIF

Anyone got any tips or recommendations?

Help appreciated, thanks. 169144-ok.gif

Was it myself who got you thinking of going down the second car route, or...

Saw an early Boxster S in The Sunday Times when having breakfast for £17,750, although it was a tiptronic sadly. Get in there.

It all depends on how much shopping you want to get - there is some usable space in the lockers behind the seats, and it's not as though the boot in the MX-5 is cavernous! We manage to use ours for weekends away in Norfolk. ... and, of course, the MR2 is a little bit like a Boxster!

I'm not sure what your budget is, but there's one at the Gloucester Toyota dealers for £8k. I guess that the problem is that the Roadster didn't come out until 2000.
